This windsurf centre offers good cross-shore (from the left) conditions from March/April through to August/September. It is generally wavier for the first couple of months with the remains of the winter swells, however from May onwards the waves disappear and flat slalom conditions prevail.

They offer a wide range of tuition, from beginner up to advanced. Although Flag Beach is in fact an intermediate - advanced location, they are very lucky in that some 20 minutes drive away at El Cotillo they have an ideal beginners teaching lagoon. All the beginner / renewal / improver courses run in this lagoon, where there is shallow (1m), protected water with a sandy bottom. All courses are run by qualified instructors, Flag Beach being one of the VDWS recognised centres.

This centre has a team of excellent watersports instructors who not only sail, windsurf, surf, dive and kitesurf but also speak six languages between them. You can also feel safe in their hands as rescue facilities are always at hand for any situation that might occur. The kitesurfing kit is predominately North kites and Fanatic and North Boards with various other brands to supplement.

It is generally known that in group lessons clients will share equipment and that hours may be reduced if less than 4 people on the course. If the school is not able to provide you with all, or part of the course, due to low wind (or adverse weather), please ensure you get written confirmation from them so we may credit you according to the terms & conditions of the kitesurf school. The general rule is that if the school is unable to provide you with the lessons, they will offer you an alternative service or a credit, or a refund.

Note:

You must be able to demonstrate safe setup and use of the equipment, and be able to ride upwind (most of the time). If the centre feels that you are not yet ready to kite independently they may swap out some of the rental value for instruction.

Damage Insurance is not included and should be paid locally

For Kitesurf rental of equipment, you may be required to produce a VDWS/IKO/RYA or equivalent licence to prove your ability to rent (For Egypt this is mandatory, and if unable to provide you will need to do a skills test and pay for a licence locally)

For anyone who has never tried wing foling before, during this wing foil course, you will learn the very basics of Wing foiling. This includes how to use the wing and foil - to your first rides in both directions. Private lessons are 1-1 / Semi-private lessons include only two people and ensure fast progression.
