We have a partner windsurf school located at the 5* Martinhal Hotel in Sagres. They offer a full range of windsurf courses and rental. The also provide loads of additional activities, which can used by non-windsurfing friends and family, or used as an option for no wind days, however please note that only non-motor sports activities are allowed here. The extensive range of activities allows the centre to be really flexible when the light wind days occur. In the case that there is not enough wind, they will allow you to switch your windsurfing equipment for any of their other activities. Alternatively, you can add a day of rental on to your holiday, or carry it on to your next holiday, whatever you choose, you are guaranteed your days of rental will never be wasted!

Please note that kitesurfing, windsurfing and SUP is available year round, though some of the other activities are only available from April - October.

Tuition

Beginner course:

Lesson 1 (2 hours) - Theory and practice on land simulator.

Lesson 2 (3 hours) - Tacking, sailing upwind and downwind, light wind jibe.

Lesson 3 (3 hours) - Sailing in a moderate strength wind, offsetting the sail's pressure with the body's weight.

Improvement Course:

Lesson 1 (3 hours) - Tuning the sail and board, harness introduction.

Lesson 2 (3 hours) - Sailing with the harness in moderate wind strength.

Lesson 3 (3 hours) - Beach start, jibe in moderate wind strength.

Advanced Course:

Lesson 1 (3hours) - Sailing in strong winds, footstraps introduction, getting into the planing position.

Lesson 2 (3 hours) - Waterstart

Lesson 3 (3 hours) - Power jibe (carve jibe)
