Stellenbosch and Franschhoek
Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are two of South Africa’s most renowned wine regions, each offering a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. Stellenbosch, the country’s second-oldest town, is known for its Cape Dutch architecture, oak-lined streets, and prestigious university. The surrounding valley is breathtaking, with lush vineyards set against a backdrop of towering mountains. Another spectacular drive through the mountains and fruit growing areas towards the coast before winding your way along the coastal road to the sleepy town of Hermanus. Built on a narrow strip of land between mountains and the sea this charming town is a perfect stop over for the next 2 nights. A full day to enjoy the delights of Hermanus perhaps taking a wander along the cliff side looking for whales in the bay. Alternatively look out for the Whale Crier who wanders the town announcing the daily sightings. Sample some of the many seafood delicacies on offer or for the more adventurous drive a little way around the bay for the chance to cage dive with Great White Sharks or take a boat excursion to get even closer to the whales.

Depart after breakfast for your sedate drive back to Cape Town and onwards up to Langebaan Lagoon and nature reserve.
Langebaan is home to some of the world best windsurf and kitesurf locations as well as being set in a stunning national park. A great place to finish the tour relaxing, exploring the Nature Reserve or windsurfing / kitesurfing.

Langebaan is an idyllic little seaside town on the South African West Coast, and one of the best flat water Windsurf Lagoons on the Planet, just 90 minutes drive from Cape Twon. Founded in 1922, this historical town was once a whaling station, but it has now been transformed into a holiday destination on the West Coast. It is a mecca for nature lovers and Windsurfers. The lagoon is part of a protected area, the West Coast National Park - a world-renowned birding spot with migratory birds from as far as Russia stopping here annually.
The jewel of the West Coast towns, Langebaan will leave you with memories of a startling blue sea, acres of spring flowers and the enticing smell of fish ‘braais’ (barbeques). Sunsets on the west-facing coast are legendary and you’ll experience plenty of enchanting moments. We are sure you will return again and again to this tranquil, magnificently beautiful place.
During the South African summer months, from November to April Langebaan is on the most wind sure location on the Planet. The climate at this time of year is perfect, with temperatures in the high 20s/early 30s. The lagoon offers a huge flat water area, with many shallow sections, making this an ideal beginner or improver destination. Most of the Lagoon is surrounded by a nature reserve, which provides stunning views from the water back across the surrounding area.
